PSA integrations for Microsoft billing reconciliation

Keep ConnectWise Manage, Autotask, or HaloPSA as the billing system of record while Sync 365 reconciles Microsoft 365 licences, Azure consumption, managed-user counts, and custom recurring services.

Sync 365 connects Microsoft billing data with supported PSA billing workflows across ConnectWise Manage, Autotask PSA and HaloPSA. The goal is the same for each PSA: reconcile Microsoft 365 licences, Azure usage, managed-user billing and custom recurring charges before billing records are updated.

The PSA stays in control of billing

Sync 365 prepares billing changes, gives the team a review step, and updates the supported PSA records that feed the invoice. Your PSA still owns the customer, billing history, contracts and recurring billing records.

One billing engine across supported PSAs

The same Sync 365 platform workflow applies across supported PSAs: reconcile Microsoft and recurring-service billing logic, review the changes, then apply the result to the relevant PSA structure.

  • Microsoft CSP licence counts, subscription changes, and subscription status checks.
  • Azure consumption charges, markup, approval, and PSA posting workflows.
  • Managed-user billing for support, backup, security, and other user-based recurring services.
  • Custom licence billing where one Microsoft or managed-user count can drive multiple recurring PSA lines.
  • Minimum quantities, exclusions, customer-specific rules, filters, and billing mappings.
  • Microsoft 365 contact context where contact sync applies.

Why integrations need billing logic, not just sync

A basic integration can copy a count. MSP billing often needs SKU mappings, proration, customer-specific overrides, excluded users, minimums, department filters, Azure markup, and the billable count your MSP actually uses driving several recurring billing lines. That is the Sync 365 layer between Microsoft and the PSA.

Automated licence mapping is the separate Sync 365 capability that creates reusable Microsoft licence and commitment-term defaults, applies company- and filter-group PSA billing destinations, and follows the automatic or pending-approval mode configured for each company.

Licence filters and split billing preserve the customer structure when one Microsoft tenant needs to feed several supported PSA billing destinations or separate PSA companies.

Platform notes

  • ConnectWise Manage: Sync 365 supports agreement additions, quantities, custom licence lines, managed-user billing, Azure lines and contact workflows for configured mappings.
  • Autotask PSA: Sync 365 supports contract services, quantities, prorated charges, Azure lines, managed-user billing and custom recurring items for configured mappings. Autotask buyers should think in terms of contract alignment rather than agreement updates.
  • HaloPSA: Sync 365 supports HaloPSA billing records including invoices and recurring invoices, Microsoft licence reconciliation, Azure billing, managed-user billing, custom licence billing and customer-specific recurring-service quantities.
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure: Microsoft data remains the billing input for licence reconciliation, subscription status, Azure consumption, managed-user counts and custom billing rules.
