Creating CW Manage API Keys
You will require admin or user management permissions in Manage to complete this step.
You may either create API keys on an existing user, or you can create a specific API Member account. We recommend using an API member account for tracking and auditing purpose.
Creating a new API Member
- Log in to Manage
- Select Setup > Members
- Click on the “API Members” tab
- Create a new API Member
- Member ID: S365L
Member Name: Sync 365 License
Role ID:
You can use “Admin” for a simple approach, or you can create a security role with the following access in system > Security roles:
Companies
Company maintenance – Inquire – all
Finance
Agreement invoicing – inquire – all
Agreements – add/edit/inquire – all
Invoicing – inquire
Procurement
Product Catalog – inquire – all
Products – inquire – all
System
Table Setup (Select customize and select “Agreements / Batch” – Edit and inquire level – all
Department: Admin (or whatever you prefer as long as its not restricted)
Select your Location etc as required - Save the member
- Member ID: S365L
- Click on the “API Keys” tab
- Click the + to add a new API key
- Give it a description (we recommend s365l) and click save
- Write down your public and private key, you will need them in the next step. You will not be able to see the private key again after you have saved it.
Using an existing user
- Log in to Manage
- Select Setup > Members
- Select your user account
- Click on “API Keys” tab
- Click the + to add a new API key
- Give it a description (we recommend s365l) and click save
